Cabinetry: Perimeter: Elmwood, Covenry door style, paint grade cabinets, in Dove White Matte paint. Island: Elmwood, Malpensa door style, paint grade cabinets, in Dove White Matte paint.

Countertops: Perimeter: 2 cm Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo. Island: 1-1/2” Teak island top.

Backsplash: Main Tile: Renaissance Tile, Mercer Bead Board, 6×6, White.  Over the range: Renaissance Tile, PTMT-66XE, 6×6, Custom Color Fill.

Appliances: From Dacor: dual fuel range and microwave drawer. From Thermador: integrated French door, bottom freezer, and an integrated dishwasher.

Hardware & Fixtures: Blanco Cerana sink, Newport Brass Chesterfield faucet, Newport Brass Chesterfield pot filler, Newport Brass Chesterfield hot & cold water dispenser.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

When designing an older home, keeping the charm and character are some of the qualities we like to maintain while coming in with a new and updated design. This particular home was built in the 1950s, and the craftsmanship of the architectural elements were details we wanted to keep in the new design. And speaking of craftsmanship, the new cabinetry bodes perfectly with the existing atmosphere of the home.

The original kitchen was a small and cramped space with an awkward layout with cabinetry that was last updated in the 70s. Needless to say, the space was in need of some serious TLC. As a result, taking out a dividing wall and opening up the kitchen was a perfect solution for the space. Plus, that new custom window we installed gives a whole lot of light and a whole lot of love to the space!

We ended up doing many projects in this house and ultimately touched the whole house. We did the master bath, library, sun room and built a new laundry room upstairs.
