This Glen Abby remodel transformed the kitchen and primary bath into stunning, functional spaces that blend modern aesthetics with the traditional style the clients desired. As homeowners in their late 70s, they sought a design that would accommodate their needs while maintaining a classic appeal.

In the kitchen, the design features soft green cabinetry that beautifully contrasts with the rustic brick backsplash and the intricate patterned tile behind the range. A key change involved removing the bar-height countertop at the island in favor of a large counter-height overhang, allowing for lower bar stools and creating a more accessible and inviting space. The island serves as a central gathering point, adorned with luxurious quartz countertops, making it perfect for both cooking and entertaining. Thoughtful touches, such as the glass-fronted cabinets and elegant hardware, add character while maintaining a cohesive look. The high-end appliances are seamlessly integrated into the design, ensuring functionality meets style.

The primary bath has been reimagined as a serene retreat that prioritizes accessibility. The old shower location was replaced with a closet, and the bathtub that was situated under the window was removed in favor of a spacious walk-in shower, designed for aging in place and compliant with ADA standards. The marble tile walls and elegant fixtures create a spa-like atmosphere, complemented by a built-in bench and a striking patterned floor. Dual vanities with sleek, modern cabinetry provide ample storage while maintaining a clean and sophisticated look. The use of soft colors and materials ensures a soothing environment, making this bathroom a perfect escape.
