From the first meeting, these homeowners expressed the importance of having a space where they could easily host family and friendly gatherings, update to a cleaner look, and gain smart organizational solutions. Creating a design that would last was also very important, as staying in this home was part of their long-term plans. They love to entertain, so it was imperative to design something that was welcoming for guests. Originally, the space created a “dead zone” when traveling from the main part of the home to the gorgeous backyard, so opening the walls was a must—and after that, everything else fell perfectly into place.

Fully custom cabinets engulf the room with a simple door style in a light gray to create a contrast with a stark white quartz counter surface. Accent cabinetry in a deep navy was created with custom-made doors with antique mirror inserts at both the pantry and entertainment center. A true eye-catcher is the Calacatta Avante Garde bookmatched backsplash on the cooking wall that frames a floating stainless hood. Satin brass hardware and faucet add to the warmth created by the natural stone wall. New graywashed engineered wood floors complete the space.
