BLUFFVIEW - DALLAS, TX

This 1940s bungalow, nestled in a Dallas neighborhood known for “teardowns,” was purchased by a repeat client eager to preserve its historic charm while updating it for modern living. As trusted partners from a previous project, we were excited to help her achieve a balance between timeless elegance and contemporary functionality across the kitchen, laundry, and bar areas.

The homeowner, drawn to neutral, feminine palettes, wanted to brighten the kitchen without the starkness of an all-white design. We delivered a cozy yet sophisticated space, blending white painted upper cabinets with white oak base cabinetry, complemented by quartz countertops with subtle veining and cream zellige tiles. Though she’s not an avid cook, she desired a functional space for hosting wine nights and book clubs. By clearing the peninsula and repositioning the 36” range, we freed up counter space for dining and entertaining, while adding a curved sheetrock hood to reflect the feminine aesthetic. The oversized Sub-Zero refrigerator was replaced with a more space-efficient 36” Bosch counter-depth fridge and relocated, further enhancing the layout’s functionality.

In the laundry area, we relocated the tankless hot water heater to optimize storage and functionality. The bar area was also modernized to match the updated aesthetic of the kitchen, creating a cohesive flow throughout the space.

The result is a stunning transformation where modern convenience meets timeless beauty, perfectly tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle.
