While there are many great appliances in our most loved room in the home, my favorite kitchen appliance has to be the induction cooktop. It has immediate heat control (unlike electric) and is faster and more energy efficient than either electric or gas. But, perhaps, one of the coolest things about induction is that it heats the pot or pan, not the cooktop, so its safety factor is extremely high.
I wrote previously about two tools we use in our process of a kitchen (or bath) design and remodel (see Getting Ready to Remodel? Part I) and I wanted to continue exploring the process. Once your kitchen remodel is underway, a key step is setting up your temporary kitchen.
KBIS was great and, as promised, here are a few trends that I spied while walking the trade show floor. This week is THE trade show dedicated to the kitchen and bath industry – KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show). I’ve attended the show for years and it is a marvelous opportunity to see the latest products being released, gain insight into what industry-leading companies see for the future and where they will be spending their research and development monies.
