I have now used Kitchen Design Concepts to remodel my kitchen and four bathrooms. They are truly excellent. They listen to our ideas, submit creative designs, and do an excellent job of overseeing the work. Unlike many contractors, they … More adhere to their schedule and bring the projects in on time so that you know what to expect. If something goes wrong, they take responsibility and work toward a mutually-acceptable solution. I have especially enjoyed working with Erica Illions and Megan Des Bordes, who have overseen all our projects. As you can see, the results are fabulous.

Having our primary suite remodeled by KDC was one of the smartest and most enjoyable experiences we’ve had. This project lived in our heads for 10 years but was brought to life by the team at KDC. The project got off to a quick start from … More the first meeting with Mary Kathryn Reese and our designer Katie Bacon, to meeting Mike Thompson our project manager, and all the sub-contractors. Mike made sure the project was clean, the subs were professional, and communication was excellent. We especially loved that Mike provided several tools designed to keep us updated every step of the way.
Katie Bacon was wonderful at bringing our many design ideas into focus and steering us to one that was beautiful and which made sense in our home. Katie has a gift for listening and translating all the elements which go into a remodel and make it look easy. We were so very thankful for her creative ideas, suggestions, communication and input throughout the project as well as always being mindful of our budget.
Truthfully this KDC project far exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Kitchen Design Concepts.

We interviewed several kitchen remodeling companies but ultimately went with Kitchen Design Concepts (KDC) to design and remodel our kitchen. It's always difficult finding and hiring services that will take the same meticulous care … More and passion on your home like you would yourself, but Kitchen Design Concepts met and exceeded our expectation. We absolutely love our new and improved kitchen remodel and makeover. From initial introductory meeting with Mary-Kathryn, to working with KDC kitchen designer Rebecca and their general contractor Mike, the entire project went seamlessly and finished on-time.
We loved working with Rebecca on the kitchen design. She really listened to our needs and offered several different design ideas and elements to fit our large family's needs. She also gave us a sense of the latest kitchen trends and provided fresh ideas that helped make our kitchen unique and truly ours. The 3D CAD modeling Rebecca created helped visualize all aspects of the kitchen remodel and made us comfortable with tweaks before final design lock. We were so amazed with her 3D kitchen rendering that at our request she also redesigned our pantry, wine bar area and even our mudroom.
Working with KDC's general contractor Mike was a breath of fresh air. He was always responsive to our concerns, questions and needs, and always kept us informed of important project milestones. He was consistently onsite to coordinate and followup on contractors' work and made sure every aspect of the kitchen, wine bar and mudroom projects didn't miss a beat. We also had Kitchen Design Concepts re-surface and re-stain our entire downstairs and upstairs hardwood floors, which Mike personally oversaw (Rebecca helped pick floor stain color). His detailed knowledge of our projects, and responsiveness and friendly demeanor made working with Mike a joy and pleasure. We also liked KDC's hired contractors, particularly the cabinet install guys, painters and counter top contractors.
Our kitchen remodel was a complete tear down of the old and rebuild of a new kitchen which included all new kitchen cabinets, removal of butler's pantry in place of a complete redesigned pantry and creation of separate coffee room, all new kitchen appliances, new kitchen island, beautiful new counter tops and one of kind backsplash. It is now our most favorite room in the house. The mudroom was completely redone to make it more usable for our large family and our wine bar area transformed. KDC has a motto “no regrets” and we can say without a doubt we have none…we love our new spaces. I can't say enough good things about Kitchen Design Concepts, their work and their people. I highly recommend them for any kitchen remodel project, large or small. Or any other remodel project for that matter.

In the past, KDC performed a kitchen and bathroom remodel for us. We were extremely happy with the results. Both spaces were well designed, functional and attractive, and KDC was very easy to work with. They kept us informed of their … More schedule, were clean and neat, and did everything they could to make the experience as smooth as possible.
Fast forward to this year. We were in dire need of an office remodel that met our needs for two work spaces and was attractive and functional. KDC did a great job of designing our space to really work well for us. In addition, they added a porch to the back of our house. We have always wanted this outdoor space and now we can enjoy nature and relax right outside of our backdoor. Thank you, Kitchen Design Concepts!!

Kitchen Design Concepts has completed three projects for us — our kitchen, master bath, and Jack-and-Jill bath — and each experience was excellent. They truly listen and consistently provided thoughtful design ideas that fit beautifully … More with our mid-century modern home.
Erica was wonderful to work with on all three projects, and Megan was a great additoin to the team for our latest work. Their project management software kept us fully up to date every step of the way. The process felt organized, collaborative, and stress-free. We highly recommend them and will use again soon!

When we met with KDC about the potential to have them do our kitchen remodel, they talked about "process," and without ever using the word "transparency," that's what they described. And that's exactly how … More this team functions. We were assigned a designer (Lane) and project manager (Mike), who were smart, experienced, easy to work with, and valued an incredible end result that matched ours. KDC uses a web-based platform to ensure active and transparent communication between them, the tradesmen (all of whom had clear, friendly, and professional relationships with Mike and Lane, who were onsite frequently), and us. Because we lived at the house with our family/pets through the remodel, it was nice to check the platform to see what's happening day-to-day (especially while on vacation!), although we rarely needed to because Mike and Lane were above and beyond communicative. Demo day (tore out everything/reused nothing but the dishwasher) was in mid-July, and we were down to our punch list by the end of September - RIGHT on schedule and stayed JUST below our budget (until we added another project because of the trust KDC built with us and how easy they made everything). We're excited to use them again soon for a total bathroom remodel!

I just completed my second project, and I could not be happier! As a repeat customer, there are so many things about KDC that I value.
First, KDC brings a turnkey solution to every project. They have fabulous designers (thank you Lane … More !) who get to know you, understand what design style works best for you and your family, and are also knowledgeable about the latest product solutions that are available. They are extremely organized! KDC has been in the remodeling business for 20 years. They know exactly how long a project should take, they assigned an experienced project/construction manager to every job who keeps you informed every step of the way. My manager was Mike, and he is so professional, focused on customer service - whether that is making sure the driveway is clear, I know when the water might need to be turned off for a few hours, or ensuring the work is done right the first time! KDC also has an amazing group of trade partners that they have worked with for years. They are thoroughly vetted, trustworthy, and do excellent work. As a homeowner, I felt entirely comfortable having them in my home. The finished project is just beautiful! This is the second time I have used KDC to redo a kitchen in a home. I loved using them and would give them my highest recommendation!

Kitchen Design Concepts recently completed a total kitchen remodel for us and it is breathtaking. Kitchen designer Lane Taylor has all the crayons in the box; she developed a unique concept just for our project, not a tweaked design from … More other clients. Kitchen project foreman Mike Thompson directed the total kitchen gut including the cleanest demolition we've ever seen. It was shocking how clean our home was during the process. We were limited to the existing footprint, but thanks to KDC's imagination, the new kitchen cabinets feature double the storage space as we previously had. What a gift!
Kitchen Design Concepts is a one-stop shop, directing all the sub contractors so that we didn't have to wrangle that. Totally recommend Kitchen Design Concepts for any project: kitchens, baths and more.

Kitchen Design Concepts remodeled our home’s kitchen 15 years ago. When we decided to update our family room fireplace and possibly refresh the kitchen countertops to tie the rooms together, returning to KDC for their expertise was an easy … More decision. We knew we’d be in good hands. Our designers Erica and Megan were fantastic and a delight to work with. They listened to our vision for the project and brought us beautiful design options. They were respectful of our budget and our timeline for completion of the work. Communication was stellar and we never had to wonder what was happening next or when it was scheduled to occur. The project management was handled perfectly from start to finish. The sub contractors that worked in our house were highly skilled professionals, and unexpected challenges that are to be expected with any remodel were addressed immediately by the KDC team. In the end, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the beautiful updates to our home. Kitchen Design Concepts clearly demonstrates excellence. It’s a pleasure to give them our highest recommendation.

We did remodeling of our whole house after a fire. KDC was recommended by a real estate professional friend. This project involved pretty much gutting 7000 square feet home and redoing inside, installing new elevator, commercial kitchen … More exhaust and adding media room. Work was complex. We worked with Katie who was exceptional. She was always smiling. Her words were "you don't have to like it, you have to love it". This was not an easy job. Everything was in short supply. Costs were higher compared to before Covid. The team from KDC is very professional. We had workers come through the house and nothing was ever taken or disturbed .Was everything perfect? no. Was everything addressed? Yes. I would highly recommend Katie and Mary Katherine for any job. They are expensive but I thing I got very good value for what I paid. Kudos to Mike Thompson for being there to help. Same for Zach and other team members.
One evening we saw a water leak after we moved in the house. Mary Katherine and Katies showed up directly from airport on weekend evening and sept an hour going through the place. Next day the repairmen showed up. It was a nail that had penetrated one of the pipes and it did not start leaking for a few months after we moved in. They did the repairs and took full ownership of the problem. Very few people show up on a weekend evening to help with emergency, especially the builders themselves.

We used KDC for a major 1st floor renovation down to studs and added support beams for relocation of interior walls. From our perspective the process was seamless between subs and the Project Manager was excellent at communication and managing … More the changes. Project included design, build, decorating and support for all purchased items. The kitchen is completely updated, new bathrooms and new master bedroom/bath. Quality and craftsmanship was excellent. Highly recommend.

Kitchen Design Concepts did a WONDERFUL job with our kitchen remodel. Erica was extremely knowledgeable and helpful from our initial consultation and throughout our renovation. We went with a Revive option, updating our flooring, counters, … More lighting, paint and backsplash; but keeping our existing cabinets and painting / updating hardware. We were so pleased with the end result, which us a beautiful, updated, designer kitchen! Erica, Megan and the KDC team were very responsive, communicative and punctual throughout the entire process. Their portal made it very easy to stay up to date on the project plan and schedule. They were able to give us exactly what we wanted within our preferred budget. We couldn’t recommend working with Kitchen Design Concepts more highly!

I really enjoyed working with Lane as she helped me pick out paint colors, bathroom faucets, tile and design ideas for our remodel. She is very knowledgeable and gave great input which made me stress less!

I hired Kitchen Design Concepts a few years ago to update my kitchen. They did such an amazing job that when I decided to remodel my master bathroom(his and hers) I knew exactly who to contact. I worked with Erica during the kitchen remodel … More and with Erica and Megan this time around. Both women worked seamlessly with me during the design process as well as the construction phase of the project. They worked within my budget, but I will say that the quality of materials and work does come with a price. They have excellent subcontractors who are honest(nothing disappeared from my home) and they work in a very clean manner. No messes! The quality of work is excellent!
Erica and Megan were available by text. Never had a communication issue. They responded quickly to my messages and understood my needs for my bathroom.
The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time.
I used Kitchen Design Concepts twice and would most certainly use them again.

I couldn’t be happier with my whole-home remodel by Kitchen Design Concepts! The team was a pleasure to work with, from the initial consultation to the move-in day and beyond. When I met with Mary Kathryn, she explained the process very … More thoroughly, and I knew that I was in great hands.
Lane and Katie, with their keen eye for detail, meticulously brought my inspiration boards to life. Their expert guidance throughout the design process was invaluable. We completely gutted four full bathrooms, replaced all of the flooring and lighting throughout the house, and remodeled four fireplaces. They expanded and transformed a tiny laundry room into a large functional space filled with beautiful floor-to-ceiling cabinets and a craft/workspace desk.
The project manager, Mike, kept me informed every step of the way and promptly addressed any questions I had. He updated the project management portal daily , so I always knew what was happening at the house! The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the finished space are truly impressive.
I wasn't very excited about my home purchase before hiring KDC - Now, I love my home and am so grateful to Kitchen Design Concepts for giving me a gorgeous magazine-worthy home. Their integrity, professionalism, and design talent are second to none.

KDC transformed our master bathroom into a gorgeous sanctuary. Their pre-construction planning was incredibly thorough and they made the process of renovating much less painful. We would definitely use them again for future home renovation … More projects.

6 stars if possible. I am a repeat customer; full kitchen remodel w/powder room in 2015; 4 bathroom remodel in 2024!
Through their PROCESS, you get to KNOW Mary Katherine and the entire KDC team! I feel very safe with everyone coming into … More my house. They work with the same vendors, some for years, and it's excellent quality of workmanship! BONUS! Some familiar faces from 2015! They treat your home with the UTMOST respect and clean every day! I am almost jealous of the other reviews. This whole time I thought I was their MVP client! But you will be treated as such as well!
The Design: Bravo LANE! She followed my “style”; actually, I have none, so the mandate was to be a steward for the next homeowner, tee hee! She heard me, perhaps interpreted what I was actually saying, and then blew me away translating it to a design! Everything I loved, and also, she made some suggestions I would never have thought of, and updated my bathroom from bad 80’s to 2024 and beyond.
The Design Agreement: Mary Katherine for her management consulting background for this! This part actually gets me excited. With a very detailed process and plan of action, you will know from the start what your project will encompass. Of course some small items or customer-driven changes, but for the most part, the design and the entire work flow is laid out before demo starts!
The Work: One word: MIKE! He is the “general contractor” and coordinates everyone - and they all work so well together! KDC also harnesses technology - a big change from 2015 to 2024 is the APP! From the start of the project, I could see the timeline and items checked off as they were completed. An update each day, sometimes with pictures as well! In my case, which is on the extreme side, I was gone for nearly the entire project, and when in town I was busy at work; I could not have done this project without Mike, plus Lane, MK, and the entire KDC team working according to the preplanned scheduled design.
The finished projects: The bathroom all look spectacular, and function is amazing. I honestly can say it is both WOW and designed so appropriate for my house! The kitchen cabinets, kitchen island, and fixtures and hardware still feel fresh and current 10 years later! One would design the same kitchen today! The pictures in Houzz and other reviews – they aren’t the best of KDC, but the standard of this company – I can say my kitchen and bathroom are just as amazing!!
Certainly 5 stars, but so much more!

We used KDC to bring our kitchen from the 80s into 2020, open up our tiny utility room, and convert a wet bar into a closet. All of these spaces are now more functional and look amazing; KDC helped transform the very dated house we bought … More into a home that feels like us.
We had a good experience with the company at every stage of the process. We enjoyed working with our designer and trusted our project manager; everyone we worked with at KDC is extremely knowledgeable about design and architecture/engineering. We trusted them more than other contractors we had in the house doing other projects and wished we had just chosen them and their recommended subcontractors to do those ancillary projects. The workers were courteous and excited about what they were doing; they always showed me what they had completed that day when I’d go check on our house. They finished on time (except for the punch list, which was drawn out due to COVID). The only “negative” thing I have to say is that the design and sales process is a little laborious and scary if it’s your first time going through a renovation, but this is actually what you want. The contract is long but details out EVERYTHING they will do, so you know exactly what you’re getting. You can follow along as they work and point out if something seems awry. Try not to be scared away by this initial phase of planning. It’s all to your benefit.
I would recommend KDC for your home renovation projects; my husband and I will definitely be reaching out to them when it’s time to do our bathrooms.

We’ve been wanting to update our original 1995 kitchen since we bought our house. When we finally got serious about it, we narrowed our search to 3 contractors. Ultimately we decided to go with KDC after meeting Mary Katherine to discuss … More our plans.
Our designer, Katie, was awesome! We couldn’t have asked for someone better. She encouraged us to go outside of our comfort zone, choosing colors we wouldn’t normally, and we are very happy with the result. She definitely has an eye for design and remodeling our kitchen would have been nearly impossible without her guidance.
There were some hiccups at the beginning when our project manager left the job, but the project coordinator, Zach, stepped in to take over the project and he’s the best! He’s so responsive and reassuring. I’m sure he got tired of us nitpicking everything, but he was always happy to help and always addressed all of our concerns.
The subcontractors were all top notch. We love the Victors. And the cabinet installer, David, was great. And I can’t forget the floor guys! They managed to match the new floor stain to the existing floor seamlessly. And all of the subcontractors were very careful in our house and made sure to clean up at the end of each day.
We were very anxious about being without a kitchen for several months, but overall, KDC made it just about as painless as it could be. We definitely plan on using them in the future for our other remodeling projects.

Please consider Kitchen Design Concepts for your next kitchen remodel in Dallas. They do bathroom remodeling and other stuff too! They are not cheap but do exactly what they say they will do and if certain things don’t go right they will … More fix without charging. Like I said-they are high-end home remodel designers but always do the right thing. We have had our kitchen remodeling project entered in design competitions and were pictured in magazines. Just had our bathroom remodeled, and because of a photo shoot we expect the same for it. Ask for Katie. She is a great kitchen and bathroom designer and tries to keep within your budget.
