There’s something special about remodeling a spacious master bath. Maybe it’s because it’s a room not normally seen by guests and these spaces become “lived in.” You forget about the clutter the things you really need: good storage solutions. What we love about this is that we can help open the eyes to our clients and help them realize the many possibilities out there for better storage, flow, and organization. Here we kept the overall layout, removed a closet, and incorporated a glass shower enclosure, and a free-standing tub. Take a look at all the details of the space below!
Cabinets
For cabinetry, we designed a space tailored to our clients. On his side: a vanity with ample drawer space and a tall linen cabinet. On her side: a seated vanity space, laundry hamper, and counter sitting cabinet for additional storage. The vanity cabinets are from Kitchen Craft Integra, in a Chelsea door style, maple wood, with a finish of Millstone paint. The linen cabinet is from WWWoods Shiloh, with an inset construction, in a New Haven door style, select American poplar wood, with a finish of Heatherstone stain.
Countertops
For countertops, we needed a finish that contrasted well with the vanities and also matched the linen cabinet. The resulting material is a 3 cm Cambria Laneshaw quartz.
Tile
The floor is a Daltile Volume 1.0 Glazed Porcelain (12×12) in Sonic White, installed on a diagonal. We installed a 2×2 section of Daltile Fashion accents in Illumini Umber every 2 feet. The walk-in shower and tub surround consists of Daltile Largo (3×6) in White installed in a brick lay and was finished with a matching 1×6 quarter round on the edges. For the shower floor, we installed a River Pebbles Tumbled Mosaic in Chenille White from Daltile. Inside the shampoo box, and atop the tub shelf, we used the same Daltile Fashion accents tile.
Fixtures and Fittings
With a brand new master bath comes all new fixtures! We used Toto for our lavatories and commode. We installed two Rendevous under-counter lavatories and the Drake II Two-piece toilet elongated bowl, both in their cotton finish. From Brizo, we installed fixtures from their Charlotte collection in a polished chrome finish. There are two single handle lavatory faucets, a freestanding tub filler, a 3-function shower control, rain can showerhead, and arm. Lastly, we installed a freestanding Jason Hydrotherapy tub in a white finish.
