First Friday Feature – March

Today we feature a kitchen that went from a space with some funky angles, to a kitchen with clean lines and better functionality for our client. When we first met with our client they expressed they wanted a more open feel to their space, so lowering the bar height was a must. Another requirement was to incorporate more storage space and better access to their cabinets. Well, we embarked on our journey with our clients to renovate their kitchen space and what resulted was a bright and open space fit for the whole family! Read on below to get the details of their new space.

First, check out how the space looked before:

Cabinets

The new and improved kitchen cabinets are two-tone style from Kitchen Craft with a Lexington door style in maple. The perimeter is a painted finish of Alabaster, and the island is a stained finish of Winter, resulting in two finishes that complement one another. Whites and greys still are some of the hottest finishes for your home.

Countertops

While the cabinets are two-tone, the countertop remains the same throughout the kitchen, a great fit with both finishes. The countertops are a Bianco Antico granite filled with splashes of greys, whites, and shiny metallics.

Backsplash

The backsplash consists of 3×6 First Snow Elegance from Daltile, and a 2×12 chair rail in the same finish. The design of the backsplash adds a simple element of design all while using the 3×6 tile. The main backsplash is in a brick-lay pattern, while a herringbone picture frame pattern is featured over the range.

Fixtures and Fittings

To go with the white and grey theme of the kitchen, we have fixtures and fittings to match. The sink is a 1-3/4 bowl Blanco Wave with a Stainless finish. The faucet is a Newport Brass Nadya pull-down in a Satin Nickel finish.
