Our Kitchen Design Concepts partner channel recently collaborated on a home where we designed a beautiful kitchen and scullery. The beautiful end result is something you would see belonging in a château somewhere in the valleys of France. The elegant space was built with arches and exposed beams providing attractive architectural features. Furthermore, the delicate color scheme is easy on the eyes and will be attractive for years to come. While the space is soft, the thick slab countertop and the custom hood truly stand out and give this space dimension. It’s those details we know and love!
Key Kitchen Features
One key feature of this space is that the kitchen includes a scullery. This leaves the kitchen to be more open and spacious – who wouldn’t want that!? The kitchen cabinetry is built with durable plywood boxes and frameless construction. The perimeter cabinetry is from WWWoods, Eclipse line, Aspen door style, Poplar wood species, and a Seagull stain. The island is also from WWWoods, Eclipse line, Aspen door style, but contrasting with a Maple wood, and a Soft White paint. The kitchen is complete with a large custom hood, 48” dual fuel range, dishwasher, steam oven, microwave, and a fridge/freezer. In addition, the kitchen is decorated with a floor to ceiling stone wall and beautiful arches over the hood and doorway.
Key Scullery Features
Traditionally, a scullery is reserved for dirty household work, such as cleaning the dishes. In this particular scullery, we have designed it to provide not only additional cleaning area for the kitchen, but storage space, a coffee machine, and an ice maker. This space is perfect for when our clients have company and they can utilize this space as a prep and staging area. This helps to keep the kitchen nice and clean! Lastly, the cabinetry matches the kitchen and provides a nice and cohesive look.
