First Friday Feature: A Calming Master Bath

We are just completely in love with this First Friday Feature which is a recent master bath remodel. It’s got all the things a master bath needs. A calming color scheme, updated fixtures, beautiful cabinetry, and much more. In general, master baths are exciting to design. There are so many areas where we can be ultra-creative. Ready to learn more about this space? Then check it our below!

Cabinetry

The cabinets in this bath feature the UltraCraft Destiny line. The doorstyle is called “Charlotte” and it’s of maple wood with an Arctic White paint. A couple of hidden features include full-extension and soft close drawers (a favorite feature of ours). Then to top it off, the cabinetry is accessorized with Emtek Windsor Crystal knobs in French Antique. The layout in the cabinet design is a mixture of drawers and a perfect little seating area.

Plumbing

Plumbing is the main feature in any bathroom space, which are design elements all on their own. So, let’s dive in! From the Brizo Virage collection, we have the vanity faucets, tub filler, tank lever shower head, shower control, hand shower, and rain shower, all in a brushed bronze finish. The rain shower arm is a custom piece to fit the almost 11-foot ceilings; it’s provided through Jaclo and was replated to match the Brizo brushed bronze finish locally. The vanity sinks are from Decolav, the tub from Jason, and lastly, the commode is from Toto.

Fixtures

The fixtures in this space are in the same Brizo Virage collection as the plumbing, giving the space a cohesive look. Fixtures include Brizo Virage robe hooks, towel rings, towel bars, and a toilet paper holder – all in a brushed bronze finish. The custom mirror frame is from Universal Arquati.

Tile

Probably one of the most exciting elements in a bathroom are all the opportunities we have with the tile design. In this space, we’ve got lots, so let’s dive in! Beginning with the main floor, we have from Marble Systems a Calacatta Gold honed 12×24 tiles in a brick layout with a matching 5-1/16×12 base mold and  5/8x 5/8 mosaic shower floor. We also created a beautiful “rug” in the center of the bathroom with Marble Systems Avenza Honed 2-3/4×5-1/2 MS01187 as a border for a rug – one piece wide and Marble Systems Calacatta Gold Modern Polished Basket Weave MS90081 in straight lay inside the border.

The walk-in shower and tub surround have an Arizona Tile H-Line series Pumice Glossy 4×16 ceramic tile in straight lay as follows on the shower walls, bench. This is finished out with a 1/2×8 pencil rail matching pencil liner. Lastly, all the shampoo boxes have a beautiful Marble Systems Snow White polished 1×2 herringbone

Countertops

These quartz counters are perfect for any bathroom space. Here we have a 3cm Cambria Highgate quartz – a soft marble look-a-like – with a matching splash tying the entire space together. The demi bullnose edge creates a softness to the look – learn more about countertop edge options here.
