First Friday Feature

In today’s standard, this galley style kitchen would be considered to be on the smaller side, but when we evaluated the space, we took into consideration the ways we could help open up the space making it seem larger while also giving this space a brand new look. So, with the space being closed in, we planned the new design with a raised ceiling, and also opened it up into the living space. Our clients were looking for a more modern space and also a space that could cater to their casual cooking and entertaining style. To learn more on how we transformed the space, continue reading below!

Before the Kitchen Design Concepts Treatment

Cabinetry

This is one of our favorite holiday kitchens to display! Not only was it completed right before Thanksgiving, but it also has those warm fall colors in the cabinetry. Here we have cabinetry from Ultracraft Vision, in a Roma door style, and Claret finish.

Countertops

The countertops are a popular 3cm Caesarstone with a finish of Frosty Carrina.

Tile

The tile was a challenge, not only did it need to blend well with the existing brick floor, but it also needed to blend well with the new kitchen! We fell in love with this 16×24 tile from Arizona tile, in a Slate Autumno finish. We loved this option because you get the look of slate and the quality and durability of ceramic! With the backsplash tile we wanted something to contrast with the other finishes, so we worked with the colors in the flooring. The resulting backsplash was a mosaic from Glazzio with a blend of Glass and Slate GS06 in“Sag Harbor Gray”.

Fixtures and Fittings

Finishing off the kitchen, we outfitted it with a new sink from Blanco in a Quatrus R0 1.75 Bowl in a stainless steel finish. The faucet is from Newport Brass in East Linear with a Satin Nickel finish. Lastly, the hardware is from Top Knobs with a modern curved touch.
