One month ago we were prepping and packing for KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) and getting ready to walk the many miles exploring all the new and exciting things KBIS had to offer. KBIS is a huge trade show dedicated to featuring anything and everything related to kitchens, baths, and more. This year there were 600 exhibitors, and 31,000 attendees – so you could only imagine that KBIS was the pulsating heart of Las Vegas last month! With all the different exhibitions showing new and exciting things to come, there were some obvious favorites of ours – so here’s what we found!
Colorful Appliances
Usually, appliances are your standard stainless steel, black, and white – but not at KBIS this year! We saw ovens from Dacor in hues of green and orange, and hoods from Vent-a-hood (see above!) in various colors of metals and finishes. It may seem a bit unusual, but why not have your appliances be your favorite color? Here’s to allowing your appliances to stand out in your kitchen! See more colorful appliances further down below!
Cement-Tile Look-a-likes
Beautifully patterned cement tiles are super popular and seen all over Pinterest. But what KBIS managed to show us was all the cement look-a-like tile made from porcelain! Porcelain is low-maintenance and more durable than your traditional ceramic tile – yet will give that same beautiful look! We call this a win-win!
Green and Teal Colors
When we kept coming across the colors green and teal, we started to notice a presence. These green hues gave us a little unexpectedness to the various kitchen and bath exhibits. Whether it was tile, cabinetry, or appliances, the green hues kept popping up – and we loved it! If there’s one thing we’ve learned from KBIS, it’s to not be afraid of a little (or a lot) of color!
Bridge Faucets
Now, bridge faucets have been around for a long time – but they definitely were a huge presence at KBIS. Bridge faucets tend to be set in classic spaces, so we were excited to see the versatility between the classics and the modern styles. Check out the bridge faucet with a chef’s spout – love it!
Designer Shower Doors
We love these shower doors from Coastal! Coastal provides these awesome doors perfect for farmhouse, modern, and even classic style bathrooms. These doors would be a standout piece to any bathroom acting as a piece of art. Also, if you don’t need a shower door – why not use these as a room divider? Love, love, love!
KBIS had yet another great year and we can’t wait to see it next again in 2020! As we had many favorite discoveries this year, we know more is yet to come. With that being said, we’ll leave you with some more of our favorite green/teal features from KBIS below!
We’ll see you again on our blog next week! In the meantime, check out some of our previous posts, Fun with backsplash and grout, and First Friday Feature: A kitchen fit for a chateau.
