A Marriage (of Style) Comes Together in the Kitchen

Summer means a lot of things – heat, barbecues, family vacations. Lately, the only aspect of summer I’ve had the time to enjoy is weddings. I’m in two of them this summer and my life has been suddenly inundated with bridesmaid dresses, showers, registries and everything else that comes with summer weddings.

I was recently at my best friend’s bridal shower when I watched her unwrap a waffle iron – only to immediately unwrap another waffle iron, this one in the shape of Texas. I couldn’t help but laugh to myself when later, her future husband asked when she managed to sneak that second iron onto the registry and she only replied with a shy grin.

I couldn’t help but reflect on how different tastes merge in the kitchen. As the heart of our homes, it can often become the biggest expression of us – whether that is quirky salt-and-pepper shakers (and Texas state-shaped waffle irons) or modern contemporary style meets country rustic. Whether you’re looking to mix two different styles or just deciding on a unique kitchen island, Kitchen Design Concepts is sure to find the perfect “marriage” of kitchen updates just for you!
