We talk a lot about kitchens, but we also remodel bathrooms too! So, for this November “First Friday Feature”, we take you back to a recent master bath remodel. Almost one year ago, we stepped into our clients’ bathroom space and instantly had a feeling of what some of their requests would be:“remove the carpet” and “remove the floral wallpaper”. Besides, carpet does not belong in a space known to have wet floors! We also made the space much more useful to our clients and replaced the tub with a frameless walk-in shower. This bathroom went from a dated space and was transformed to space that will last for years and years to come. Before we see the fresh updates, take a look at the BEFORE photos:
The his and hers vanity cabinets in the bathroom space are from WWWoods Shiloh line with an Aspen inset door-style in a Silas finish. The furniture-style vanities include open storage below and has details that gives a custom look to the bathroom space. Plus, the neutral stain on the cabinet balances well with all the other finishes of the bathroom. We love this look!
The countertops provide a contrast from the stained cabinets and also adds a contemporary element. The quartz countertops are a 3cm Caesarstone in a Frosty Carrina finish. We love the balance between the finishes! We also love the low-maintenance qualities of quartz and it’s great for a bathroom space!
Tile plays a big role in the bathroom because it’s the most used material in a single space. It provides protection from water and also gives beautiful accents! So, from Interceramic: the shower walls are a 4-1/4 x 12-3/4 Brites in Ultra White, the accent in the shampoo box and the shower floor are a marble penny round in Urban Blend, and the main floor are a 12×24 Versaille in a Chateaux Ivoire matte finish.
We can’t forget about the plumbing fixtures! These not only give the bathroom its functionality but also are beautiful pieces that provide accent to the space. From Toto: two Dantesca® undercounter lavatories, and one Drake® Two-Piece toilet in cotton. From Hansgrohe: two Hansgrohe Metris C widespread faucets, Ecostat Metris C Thermostatic Trim with Volume Control, Crome 220 AIR 1-Jet Showerhead with a 15” Raindance shower arm, one C towel ring, and one C toilet paper holder all in a Chrome finish.
The other accents that complete the space include a frameless glass shower enclosure, mirrored medicine cabinets from Robern Metallique in Polished Chrome, and a Mr. Steam shower bench in Teak.
We hope you enjoyed this months “First Friday Feature”. Check back with us next month for another project!
When doing a remodel or an update in your home, using high quality and innovative products may be high on your list of priorities. When we design kitchens and baths, we want to be confident that we are selecting good reputable products. So, today we are focusing on a brand that we have our confidence in, Caesarstone!
In this modern kitchen we have used Caesarstone’s “Quarts Reflections”. One of the highlights of this specific finish is that it is made with up to 35% post-consumer recycled glass.
We love the look of this sleek white and grey toned countertop called “Concrete”. How neat is it that a quartz product can replicate the looks of other materials such as concrete!?
In our showroom, Caesarstone’s “Frosty Carrina” is possibly the most asked about finish, and we understand why! This classic look can stand the test of time.
If you have any questions, you know where to find us!
We find with our Clients that kitchen countertops are a frequent driver for initiating a kitchen remodeling project. Clients can dabble on their own with freshening their spaces up using paint or hardware, but when it comes to countertops, they know they would prefer to have professionals involved. While the number of materials can be endless, from stainless steel to marble and everything in between, we have found that for durability and aesthetics, granite and Caesarstone are still our favorite go-to products. If you like a natural look, granite is a great choice. There are hundreds of shades and patterns of stone that can blend beautifully with almost any kitchen design.
If you are looking to add a splash of color to your kitchen countertops, Caesarstone is an amazing choice, with lots of colors and patterns to choose from and unmatched durability. They claim that their products are scratch-, stain- and crack-resistant and we have seen first-hand how nicely they perform in our Clients’ kitchens. And, with about 45 color options and nine texture collections, there is versatility in aesthetic choice as well!
